Regional EV Hub Projected at RM2 Billion in Malaysia

In January 2024, Tron Bradbury Energy—a joint enterprise involving Bradbury Group—announced the establishment of a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) facility in the Malaysia Vision Valley. The project serves as a regional hub for the manufacturing, assembly, and distribution of commercial and passenger EVs.

According to TBE Director Mohamad Zam Zalman Tik, the hub is projected to generate more than RM2 billion annually in revenue. The initiative was formally recognised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority and launched by Malaysia’s Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

The announcement comes amid rapid growth in Malaysia’s EV market, with battery electric vehicle sales rising more than 200% year-on-year in 2023. The project reflects Bradbury’s continued deployment of capital into the region’s energy transition and infrastructure sectors, aligning with national mandates to build localised supply chains and advance sustainable mobility across Southeast Asia.
